Jodie Foster steps out for Day Two at Cannes Film Festival after kissing her wife Alexandra Hedison

Jodie Foster cut a solo figure on day two of Cannes Film Festival after being spotted packing on the PDA with wife Alexandra Hedison the night before. 

The Silence of the Lambs actress, 58, cut a summery figure on Wednesday as she headed out in a maroon dress with a colourful leopard print that she cinched in at the waist with a skinny belt.  

Keeping her accessories simple, Jodie donned a pair of barely-there black heels and wayfarer shades, while her ombre locks were styled in loose waves.

Jodie seemed in good spirits on the outing, smiling and waving at passersby while making her way through the festival’s grounds. 

She was on her own for the outing, with her wife not joining her for the trip, despite  their incredibly cosy display the night before. 

The actress only had eyes for Alexandra, 51, on Tuesday as they packed on the PDA at the opening ceremony.

The movie star looked incredible in a figure-hugging white dress which boasted silver embellishments and a stylish slit at the back.  

Jodie dazzled in her striking gown which featured a fitted skirt and cut-outs on her shoulders. 

She teamed the look with a pair of gold open-toe heels and added a stunning silver ring for an extra touch of bling.

Director Alexandra also ensured to look her best for the big night, rocking a navy ensemble with flat sandals. 

It was an especially big night for Jodie as she was presented with the Palme d’Or Life Achievement Award by Spike Lee and Bong Joon-Ho.

Jodie and Alexandra tied the knot in 2014 after one year of dating. Alexandra was previously in a relationship with comedian Ellen DeGeneres.

Jodie was in a relationship with Cydney Bernard from 1993 until 2003, and the former couple share two sons, Charles, 22 and Kit, 19.

She referenced her sexuality at the Golden Globes in 2013 when she was 51, subtly declaring she was ‘out and proud’ while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award.

‘I hope you’re not disappointed that there won’t be a big coming-out speech tonight, because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age,’ Jodie said
