The TV couple had listed the four-bedroom property with a $7million price guide two weeks ago, but the home exceeded all expectations when it went under the hammer at a virtual auction on Tuesday night.

Going, going, gone! Newsreaders Jessica Rowe, 51, and Peter Overton, 55, have sold their family mansion in Sydney’s upmarket suburb of Vaucluse for $8.175million, as they prepare to upgrade to a larger home nearby
The two-storey property, which sits on almost 700 square metres of land, has an outdoor swimming pool and a plush formal living area featuring ornate 1930s finishes.
Jessica, a former Studio 10 panelist, bought the home with her Nine newsreader husband 12 years ago for $3.37million, and they’ve renovated it several times since.
The couple and their two daughters, Allegra, 14, and Giselle, 12, are now planning to move into a five-bedroom mansion, also located in Vaucluse.
‘It’s time for a change for that next stage of our family life,’ Peter previously told Domain.
