Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals she suffered from anxiety and panic attacks during her divorce from ex-husband Lee
Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has spoken bravely of her struggle with anxiety.
She revealed on Thursday’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show she suffered from panic attacks when she separated from her husband Lee in 2018.
The mother of one, 46, said anxiety has been a recurring problem in her life since she was a teenager, but flares up when triggered by ‘situational things’.

The issued stemmed from a ‘bad experience’ with marijuana in her youth.
‘I had a really bad experience doing weed. I had this horrible feeling, it was a terrible feeling,’ she said. ‘Ever since then I’ve had panic attacks.
‘I couldn’t get rid of that feeling, which was psychosomatic.’
The KIIS FM presenter explained her anxiety and panic attacks are caused these days by ‘situational things [I’m] not coping with’.

‘For me, it was when I went through my divorce,’ she said, referring to when she split from photographer Lee in 2018, after 15 years of marriage.
‘It can come from anywhere,’ she added.
Her co-host Kyle Sandilands said he’d never had panic attacks or anxiety, despite having a tough childhood marred by homelessness and alcoholism.

Jackie then said she wasn’t experiencing anxiety anymore, but didn’t specify whether she’d received professional treatment for it.
Jackie and Lee, who share custody of 10-year-old daughter Kitty, amicably separated three years ago.
She revealed on air in February they’d reached a divorce settlement.
