‘I was teased,’ Jackie told her co-host Kyle Sandilands.

‘I had a very close friend, I didn’t have a big group of friends, I got called rat girl.

‘Only because I looked like a rat, because I was so skinny and had ears that stuck out a little bit.’

Jackie added she also had big teeth as a kid.

‘When you think about it, I really did look like a rat,’ she remarked.

Kyle, 50, also revealed he had been a victim of shocking bullying during his school years, and recalled the time he opened his lunch box to dirt, leaves and spit.

The pair have certainly had the last laugh, with both enjoying major success in their careers.

They were recently named Sydney’s most popular breakfast radio show across both AM and FM bandwidths in a recent ratings survey.

Jake Challenor, the publisher of Radio Today, recently revealed that Kyle and Jackie are paid $5million a year each to host Sydney’s top-rated breakfast show.

While they easily have the most generous pay packet, there are plenty of other anchors who command seven-figure salaries.

Mr Challenor said the likes of Marty Sheargold, Amanda Keller, Dave Hughes, Ray Hadley, Neil Mitchell, Fifi Box, Sam Pang and Mick Molloy all earn ‘in the millions’.
