Jackass director Jeff Tremaine says Bam Margera made death threats to him and his family

Jackass director Jeff Tremaine said Bam Margera made threats to him and his family in a successful petition to obtain a temporary restraining order against the one-time MTV star.

The court ruled that Margera, 41, must remain 100 yards from Tremaine, 54, and his wife and children, according to TMZ.

Tremaine told the court that Margera has become increasingly aggressive in their communications since an incident in February in which the reality star no-showed a virtual meeting to talk about his difficulties with sobriety and mental health.

Following that, Tremaine told the court that Margera has continually harassed him on social media with threats of violence, unnerving drawings, and libelous statements comparing him to convicted producer Harvey Weinstein, the outlet reported.

In one instance, Tremaine said Margera suggested that he and Jackass creator Johnny Knoxville ‘pencil in [their] death certificate.’

Tremaine told the court that Margera sent him a handwritten contract and subsequently wrote to him in a text message, ‘Look at your children and grab your pocket book and write a check, if you are greedy, and cheap, look at your children again.

‘If you don’t sign the paper, look at [your] children. Sign your stupid f***ing contract before [you’re] not safe anywhere.’

In another text message, Margera vowed to Tremaine, ‘I’m gonna kill you in one mother f****** punch.’

Insiders told TMZ that Margera failed to meet stipulations of an agreement from producers that included drug testing, breathalyzer testing, taking his prescribed medications and visits with a mental health professional.

In May, Jackass staple Steve-O took to Instagram to defend Tremaine and Knoxville for helping organize a life-saving intervention when he was having severe substance abuse issues.

‘Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded,’ Steve-O said. ‘You’ve continued to get loaded, it’s that simple. We all love you every bit as much as we all say we do, but nobody who really loves you can enable or encourage you to stay sick.’
