ITV chat show This Morning went full force with the Halloween decorations and costumes this year with Holly Willoughby dressed up as Wednesday Addams and Phillip Schofield as Uncle Fester. Opening the show, they put on a skit joined by Alison Hammond and Gok Wan amongst other guests. However, viewers of the show were left put off by the skit and claimed they were going to “switch off” over embarrassment.
The theme tune to the Addams Family began as the camera panned to each character of the family.
Alison Hammond was Morticia Addams, Gok Wan embodied Pugsley Addams, Josie Gibson played Lurch, Phil Vickery played the grandmother alongside Steve Wilson as Gomez Addams.
As the skit began, Alison said: “Hello, and welcome to our home. We are so pleased you could join us on this delightfully gloomy morning,” before a thunder sound effect played.
She turned to Steve and said: “Oh, sounds like a storm darling. I knew it was going to be shaping up to be a wonderful day.”

Steve exclaimed: “Every day is wonderful with you mi amor,” before kissing her hand and up her arm.
Phillip jumped in: “We are The Addams Family, I am Uncle Fester, this is my brother Gomez, and his wife Morticia.”
Steve continued: “And these are our children Wednesday and Pugsley, say hello children.”
Holly sarcastically replied: “Hello children.”
@Muffles1 joked: “What kind of fresh hell is this #ThisMorning.” (sic)
Later, Holly and Phillip were joined by Gyles Brandreth who was dressed as Cousin “Knit”, along with his pet Matthew Wright.
They began to discuss the way that celebrities dress up at Halloween now with both Gyles and Matthew claiming they disliked Kendall Jenners take on Toy Story’s Jessie.
Gyles explained Halloween is supposed to be spooky and not an excuse for people to “play dressed up”.
