Is Nathan Buckley getting Botox from his nurse girlfriend?

Nathan Buckley made headlines last month when he was pictured for the first time with his new girlfriend, cosmetic nurse Alex Pike.

And the Collingwood coach, 48, sent tongues wagging again on Saturday, after he debuted a noticeably smoother complexion during the Magpies’ match against the Crows in Adelaide.

The AFL great’s forehead lines appeared far less noticeable as he spoke to players during the game, leaving fans wondering whether he recently had Botox injections.

By contrast, he had quite prominent forehead wrinkles during the Collingwood vs Geelong Cats game at the MCG on May 29. 

While it could well have been a trick of the light, the centre of Nathan’s forehead in particular seemed smoother on Saturday, giving him a more youthful appearance. 

If Nathan has started using Botox – and he certainly wouldn’t be the first footy star to do so – it’s likely his girlfriend Alex would be his preferred injector.

The 44-year-old former model owns the Face By Alex cosmetic clinics in Melbourne’s South Yarra and Albury, NSW.

Helping hand? If Nathan has started using Botox, it’s likely his cosmetic nurse girlfriend Alex, 44, (pictured) would be his preferred injector.

While Nathan has never spoken about his beauty regimen, Alex has been open about her use of cosmetic injectables.  

Describing her love for Botox on her clinic’s website, Alex writes: ‘I have been having anti wrinkle injection injections for the past 15 years and I am testament to the fact that this treatment works.’    

Alex and Nathan, who have known each other since at least the start of the year, were pictured together for the first time late last month.

The romance between the new couple is said to be ‘effortless’.

‘They are happy. It’s all good. It’s just very easy and comfortable really. They have a genuine connection,’ a friend of the couple told the Herald Sun last week.

The source added that Alex isn’t after fame, and isn’t ‘daunted’ by the attention that comes with being a WAG either.
