    Singer Tones And I went from living in a van to owning a multi-million dollar property portfolio in just a few years. 

    Now, new details have surfaced about the singer’s first big property purchase after finding fame – a $720,000 home in south-east Melbourne. 

    Previously, little was known about the off-market sale, but Domain has revealed more details about the property this week.

    The large property is located Frankston, a scenic beachside suburb known as ‘the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula’.  

    Sitting on a large block of over 800 square metres, the family home boasts three bedrooms and a separate bungalow. 

    The bungalow serves as a separate dwelling but can be used as an office space.

    Watson become an overnight success upon the release of her 2019 single Dance Monkey, which shot to No. 1 across the globe.

    Since then, she has been quietly growing her property empire, purchasing homes on the Mornington Peninsula and in Byron Bay.   

    In April, she purchased a Tones a $7.08million mansion in Mount Eliza, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

    The five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion sits across two levels, and also features a tennis court, sunken fire pit and bar.

    There are also colour-changing light fixtures in the basement, a 3000-bottle wine cellar, wine lounge and underwater views of the pool.

    It also boasts coastal views extending out to the city skyline, and is walking distance from another home in Mount Eliza she bought for $5.1million last year, according to a report by the Herald Sun at the time.

    In December last year, she also splashed a whopping $3.3million on two properties on the outskirts of New South Wales’ celebrity hotspot Byron Bay.  

    Before finding fame, Tones and I slept in her van and started out busking on the streets of Melbourne and Byron Bay.

    ‘I pretty much bought a van and took two weeks annual leave because I wasn’t 100 per cent sure that anything would work,’ she told triple j in February 2019. 

    ‘I came up to Byron and on the first night of busking a guy walked past and he was like, ‘Here’s my card.’ A month later, I was like, ‘What have I got to lose.”
