Speaking to GB News on Sunday, Mr Farage added how the Prime Minister’s father Stanley Johnson even “thanked” him for putting his son in power following Prime Minister Theresa May’s catastrophic fall from grace. The Brexit Party founder’s comments come as the channel marked the two year anniversary of Boris Johnson being Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, following his election on July 24 2019.

Mr Farage told GB News viewers: “I would say this.

“Boris Johnson would not have been Prime Minister for two years if I hadn’t set up the Brexit Party.

“It was that stunning European Election result which led Mrs May to resign in complete humiliation!”

Mr Farage then went on to reveal how the Prime Minister’s father, Stanley Johnson, congratulated Mr Farage on Brexit and thanked him for helping get Boris in N.10.

The party won a 30.52% vote share at the 2019 European Elections winning 29 out of 79 seats in the European Parliament.

The big win for Mr Farage’s party signalled a major shift for Brexit and support of pro-Brexit campaigners within British politics.

In January 2021 the Brexit Party was re-named Reform UK which now holds 7 out of 19,698 seats in local government in Britain.

Richard Tice is the current leader of Reform UK.
