The couple’s sit down with the US chatshow host aired in March and in it they made a string of damning allegations, including one of racism, against the Firm.

Reacting to news of the Finding Freedom update, royal commentator Richard Fitwilliams told Express.co.uk: “When Finding Freedom was published in August 2020 it was regarded as being the unofficial voice of the Sussexes, since though they denied collaborating with its authors, it contained information which could, experts felt, not have been obtained or published without their connivance.

“Yet the controversial aspects of this book seem relatively mild after the Sussexes Oprah interview.”

Mr Fitzwilliams slated the book and claimed the added chapter could further damage the Sussexes relationship with the Royal Household.
