Guy Sebastian will embark on a 500km charity walk to raise money for a youth mental health program.
The singer will embark on the mission on March 8, and will start in Wagga Wagga and end in Sydney at the Channel Seven studios in Martin Place.
The 40-year-old will be accompanied with his friend Tim Freeburn, who is a member of The Sebastian Foundation, and the former Australian Idol star has been in training to prepare for the long journey.

A good cause: Guy Sebastian has announced on Wednesday he will do a 500km charity walk from Wagga Wagga to Sydney with his friend Tim Freeburn to raise $1 million for youth mental health program called Open Parachute
‘It’s over a marathon every day for 10 days, about 50km a day,’ he said on Wednesday’s Sunrise, joking: ‘I had quite a big milestone birthday last Tuesday and I am definitely feeling these walks.’
He also noted they’ve been preparing their gear and he recently got orthotics to help him with the country to city hike.
‘It’s no joke 50km per day, and Tim has gone through his shoes in about two weeks,’ he said, adding they will have wheelie bins of ice ready for them to do an ice bath after each walk.
