The Duchess and First Lady met for the first time on Friday, where they were pictured at Connor Downs Academy in Hayle, Cornwall. A picture of the two, both wearing pink, has led to a royal expert saying the Duchess carried out “history-making stuff”.
Writing on Twitter, FLOTUS described how she and the Duchess, 39, “could have kept going for hours” after meeting.
The 70-year-old topped it off with two love heart emojis.
Dr Biden wrote: “Thank you for having me today to talk about an issue we both care deeply about, and one that is critical to the future of both our countries.”
She retweeted a post on the Kensington Royal account, on which Kate wrote: “Welcome to the UK, First Lady!
“It was great to host Dr Jill Biden and experts from the UK and the United States for a discussion on the importance of early childhood on lifelong outcomes, on the first day of the G7 Summit.”
During their visit to Connor Downs Academy, Kate and Dr Biden joined a class reading of a Greta Thunberg-inspired book.
They were greeted by silence among pupils, with Dr Biden joking the children were “scared to death”.
Kate also remarked it was “the quietest class” she had ever visited.
When asked by reporters later about early age education, Dr Biden said: “It’s very important.
“It’s the foundation of everything. So I can tell you as a teacher at the upper levels, if they don’t have a good foundation they fall so far behind.
“So this is amazing to see what these children are doing, and how far advanced they are at four and five years old!”

US President Joe Biden also met with Queen Elizabeth II during his stay in the UK.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk Her Majesty is likely to be relieved not to be dealing with former President Donald Trump and his unpredictability anymore and will appreciate having a US President with such experience.
He said: “Given Donald Trump’s notorious unpredictability and the atrocious storming of the Capitol by a mob incited by him, she is likely to be personally relieved by Biden’s election victory.”
He added: “As the world’s most experienced head of state, she will undoubtedly appreciate the importance of America having a President with so much experience, especially during the unprecedented crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Not only was Mr Trump a somewhat volatile President, he also broke royal protocol in a way that was dubbed a “mortal insult” to the Queen during a visit to the UK in 2018.
