Filming gets underway on Celebrity MasterChef Australia in Melbourne

    Earlier this month, Channel Ten confirmed the all-star cast for the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef Australia.

    And on Friday, the first celebrities to arrive on set were spotted heading into the an Melbourne studio.

    Radio star Chrissie Swan, 47, was first to arrive and she did so in style.

    The radio star was casually chic as she donned some stone-wash jeans with fraying at the knees.  

    She added a pair of large hoop earrings are for the kitchen and added a button-down navy shirt to her ensemble. 

    Chrissy opted for a pop of colour as she sported bright green and white New Balance trainers.

    Meanwhile, Packed To The Rafters favourite Rebecca Gibney, 56, made an entrance alongside the rest of the cast. 

    As she headed into the studio, she stopped to have a chinwag with judge Jock Zonfrillo, 44.

    For her first day on set, Rebecca was ready to rock as she wore a cooking apron on top of her a nautical striped shirt, a pair of black jeans and black Adidas trainers.

    Also in attendance was soccer great and Melbourne Victory FC ambassador, Archie Thompson, 42.

    The athlete appeared to be very serious about his role, barely showing a hint of a smile as he walked onto through the parking gates.

    He was rugged up against the winter weather as he donned a multi-coloured Kathmandu parker.

    Footballer Nick Riewoldt, 38, donned a dirty apron, but he soon took it off to enjoy a breather. 

    The former AFL star was also spotted chatting with judge Jock in between takes, as well as taking a phone call. 

    Earlier this month, Channel Ten he unveiled the full line-up of the show, including an Olympic swimming legend and a pop star.

    In addition to the contestants pictured on set, others include Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly, G, Offspring actor Matthew Le Nevez and fashion designer Collette Dinnigan.

    They will appear alongside Olympic hero Ian Thorpe, singer Dami Im and comedian Dilruk Jayasinha.  

    Judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo will be fronting the show. 

    Channel 10 announced it was bringing back Celebrity MasterChef in May, 12 years after it last aired.

    The network confirmed reports it was reviving the 2009 format by sharing an Instagram post that read: ‘Get ready… Celebrity MasterChef is coming.’

    Following the announcement, judge Jock revealed a ‘sports star, a famous actor and an Australian icon’ would be among the cast.

    ‘Cannot wait for this! Coming very soon,’ he added at the time.

    Celebrity MasterChef last aired in 2009, and featured the likes of Michelle Bridges, Rachael Finch, Josh Thomas, Kirk Pengilly, Alex Perry and Eamon Sullivan.

    Rumours first emerged in April that Channel 10 was planning on reviving the series, with New Idea reporting the format had received ‘the go-ahead’.
