Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer shared their reaction to Luke Shaw scoring the first goal of the England v Italy match during halftime. The two BBC commentators could be seen holding onto the railings as they watched Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma fail to stop Shaw. Lineker and Shearer were filmed jumping for joy as Shaw put England in the lead within two minutes of the match starting.
Shaw scored the fastest goal in an international championship since 1996 in the final match of the Euro2020.
Commenting on the footage, Lineker said: “This is Wembley. Oh God, this is us.
“It gets to us all. Really, it does get to us all.”
