Diane Kruger and Laverne Cox were just two noteworthy celebrities who attended the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala on Thursday evening.
The actresses and gala co-chairs, both stole the show in bright billowing gowns as they walked the red carpet at the event, which was held at Lincoln Center.
The bi-annual affair (one in Spring, one in Fall) marks the opening of the season, and it is meant to serve as a celebration of dance and design.

Kruger, 45, was seen arriving to the event in an eye-catching tiered pink gown with a black bow.
The floor length frock featured ruffled sleeves which fell off the shoulders and the Inglourious Basterds star also carried an ornate pearl covered clutch bag.
Her blonde hair was whimsically swept back in a loose updo and while at the event she flashed her $500K engagement ring from fiance Norman Reedus.
Despite her engagement news, Kruger brought her mother Maria-Theresa Heidkrüger as her date for the evening.

As the event is being held amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and circulating Delta variant, the gala developed a new format this year to prioritize the health and safety of their patrons.
The night’s cocktail reception and seated dinner will be held completely outdoors at Lincoln Center and all attendees were required to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination for entry into the event and performance.
A recent negative test was not accepted as an alternative to vaccination for entry, and all NYCB staff, theater staff, and vendors were also required to show proof of vaccination.
Additionally once inside the David H. Koch Theater, where the ballet performance will take place, all attendees were mandated to wear masks before and during the show.
