Andrew Crofts, experienced ghostwriter, said that working with the Duke is a “ghostwriter’s dream” as Harry “loves to talk about his feelings and wants to be honest”. Andrew Crofts is a famous ghostwriter with over 30 years of experience in the field.

“He is rich, powerful, famous and damaged, and, the greatest gift of all for a ghostwriter, his partner supports the idea of him telling all,” he wrote in The Times.

He stresses the importance of trust between Prince Harry and his ghostwriter.

He wrote: “Harry’s ghost will need to steer him away from sounding bitter and settling scores.

“A well-written book stays around long after feuds and grudges have been forgotten.

In a statement Harry said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a first hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

Reportedly, the Duke of Sussex is to receive a £14.5 million advance.

While it is not known how much, the statement from Archewell said that proceeds will be donated to charity.
