Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson enjoys a boozy reunion with co-star Rob Mallard

She recently split from Shane Finlayson after a six-month whirlwind romance.

And on Thursday night, Kimberly Hart-Simpson, 34, commanded attention in a loud co-ord set as she enjoyed a boozy reunion with her Coronation Street co-star Rob Mallard, 29.  

The Celebs Go Dating star slipped into a black and white animal print jacket and matching trousers for drinks at the Dockyard Pub in Manchester.

Kimberley teamed her statement co-ord set with a black cami and a pair of white Stan Smith trainers. 

Her brunette extensions were styled into effortless waves, and she opted for a bronzed make-up look while accessorising with gold hoop earrings. 

Kimberly’s night out comes after she revealed that she’s looking for love on Instagram after her split from stripper Shane Finlayson.

The actress has now said she’s open to sliding into people’s direct messages, adding: ‘if you see someone you like and want to know if they’re available’.

Talking about social media, Kimberley said: ‘Instagram is an amazing way of meeting people and it has become a bit like a dating app.’  

Speaking to The Mirror about her quest for romance, the actress – who plays sex worker Nicky Wheatley on the ITV soap – explained: ‘I know quite a few people that have met on Instagram.

‘I think it’s common now. I’d approach a guy or girl – anyone. If I genuinely like someone, I will put myself out there.’

She also revealed she was on celebrity dating app Raya as well as Tinder and an unnamed dating site before switching to the photo sharing app.

Kimberly also joked that she is not afraid of rejection, quipping: ‘I’m used to getting rejected all the time from being an actor.’

Last month, the TV star took to her Instagram stories to announce that she had split from Shane in a statement, saying their busy work schedules led to the decision.

Kimberly, who played escort Nicky Wheatley on the soap, met Shane on E4’s dating show, and went Instagram official with him in February.

Her statement read: ‘After 6 months of dating Shane and I have decided to part ways. We are proud of our journey and respect each other immensely. The show has been the best experience.

‘Our journey after that even better but with the distance between us, work commitments and restrictions can naturally take its toll.’

Kimberly went on to thank fans for their support since the pair’s appearance on the dating show, and concluded: ‘Thank you for the love you have given us, it has not been wasted. XX’

During the final episode of the series, Kimberly and Shane had previously declared their love for each other.

The soap star recently spoke about her experience on Celebs Go Dating, referring to her time on the reality series as ‘incredible’, as she was able to find a lover.
