    Conor McGregor shows off his new shorter haircut as he returns to the gym for a work out following surgery on his broken his leg

    Conor McGregor appeared well on the way to recovery as he returned to the gym and showed off his new haircut following surgery on Wednesday.

    The UFC fighter, 33, has been in recovery after breaking his leg during a fight against  Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.

    However following successful surgery on the break, Conor stepped up his recovery by heading back to the gym while staying at the The Beverley Hills Hotel.

    In a slew of recent social media snaps, the MMA star revealed his sharp new fade as he works on getting back to his best following the injury.

    During his last two fights Conor has competed with a shaven head, however the new do may mark a fresh start for the fighter.    

    As well as showing off his new hairstyle, Conor also revealed he was back to weight training in the posts – but appeared to only be focusing on his top half. 

    Following the work out, Conor took it easy as he shared a snap of himself lounging around the hotel pool.

    While hanging out in the sun he received an abundance of designer deliveries, including a Louis Vuitton model car.

    Conor’s training regime comes just under a month after suffering a broken tibia during his fight with Porrier during the main event of UFC 264 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

    The fight was the long-awaited rubber match, or trilogy match, with McGregor winning the first fight by TKO in the first round in September 2014.

    Porrier won the second fight in January via TKO in the second round during UFC 257 in January, with the trilogy fight taking place last month.

    He won by TKO after the doctor stopped the bout after the first round, after it was revealed that the fighter broke his tibia.

    It’s unclear when McGregor may be able to fight again, though his road to recovery is believed to be a long one. 

    McGregor took to social media after surgery and said: ‘Just out of the surgery room, everything went to plan, everything went perfect and I’m feeling tremendous.

    ‘We’ve got six weeks on a crutch now and then we begin to build back.

    ‘A clean break of the tibia and it was not to be. Dustin, you can celebrate that illegitimate win all you want but you’ve done nothing in there. 

    ‘That second round would have shown all,’ he added.
