Upon his arrival at the club in 2019, he showed the kind of promise which suggested he would kick on to become one of the club’s most important attackers, but he is still yet to take that next step.
Granted, injury issues mean that recently it is through no fault of his own, but he will want no further delays as Chelsea continue to improve and competition for spots in the team intensify.
Saint-Maximin possesses a similar skillset of electric dribbling and a willingness to go past players, so the USA international should be desperate to get back in and prove himself before January.
