Celebs react on Twitter over Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp outage

It didn’t take for celebrities – and their social media managers – to get in jovial jabs against Facebook being down on Monday. 

Stars like Reese Witherspoon, Snoop Dogg, and even Dolly Parton all posted light-hearted remarks about the worldwide outage – that also included sister site Instagram and messaging service WhatsApp. 

Considering Twitter is a rival to Facebook, the outage sparked the micro-blogging site ablaze with funny quips and memes – including some from celebrities.

Dolly, 75, posted a meme of her barging through swinging saloon doors with the caption: ‘Everyone showing up to @Twitter today while @Facebook @instagram @WhatsApp are down like…’ 

Rapper Snoop Dogg appeared to be encouraging his fans to have a smoke by tweeting: ‘Ig down? Roll one and be productive.’

Reese Witherspoon’s account also posted a meme of her mouthing ‘thank you’ which it said was Twitter’s response to ‘all other social platforms’ being ‘kaput.’
