The alleged misconduct by the doctor comes as This Morning continues to face a backlash after Holly and Phillip were accused of “jumping the queue” to see Queen Elizabeth II lying in state.
Thousands have signed a petition calling for the pair to be axed after they were seen walking ahead of the queue to visit the monarch’s coffin.
The presenters and ITV have denied the claims, with a report during one This Morning episode seeing Holly state: “The rules were we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back.
In contrast, those paying respects walked around a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.
“None of the journalists or broadcasters there took anyone’s place in the queue and no one passed by the Queen.”
She added: “We totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue.”
