Former Brexit Party MEP warned Britons that “Brexit will not go away” and the UK is “miles away from that Conservative Party’s own manifesto promise”. Mr Habib warned that the Tory leadership had signed off a Brexit deal that allowed the EU to “dismember” the UK. He said: “The EU seeks not just to punish the UK but to dismember it”.
The former MEP said that the “first limb” of this dismemberment would be Northern Ireland.
He added: “Then it will go after Scotland.
“And while it goes about seeking to capture parts of the UK, it will seek also to punish us economically.
“Metaphorically, not content with a hanging, they wish to draw and quarter us too.”
British businessman and former politician Mr Habib said that both Theresa May and Boris Johnson have “played a game to charm the Brexit voting electorate”.
He added: “Some people might have bought into it, but most damagingly the EU did not.
“In reality, both May and Johnson were petrified of failing to get a deal.
“And in their fear was born manifold ills for our country.”

“The second of her ejection and Boris Johnson’s promise to Get Brexit Done.
“And a third of the delivery of his Brexit in the teeth of a pandemic.”
Mr Habib’s comments come after UK Brexit minister Lord Frost and European Commission vice president Maros Sefcovic failed to agree on a solution to the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The EU has threatened a trade war against the UK if Britain does not implement checks on goods entering Northern Ireland.
The UK is obligated to implement these border checks on Irish Sea ports under the terms of the Brexit deal.
EC vice president Mr Sefcovic has said his patience with the UK is wearing “very, very thin” over the contentious issue.
