Bindi Irwin shares adorable photo of daughter and a picture of herself at same age

Bindi Irwin and Chandler welcomed newborn daughter Grace Warrior in March.

And on Saturday, Bindi, 22, thrilled fans as she compared a picture of her tiny tot to a picture of herself when she was younger.  

Bindi compared the sweet images and wrote: ‘Like mama, like daughter.’

In the images, both Grace Warrior and baby Bindi can be seen wrapped up in a hoodie towel. 

‘Baby Grace Warrior & Baby Bindi Sue… Like mama like daughter. We both love our hoodie towels,’ she captioned the adorable images.

In the first photo, Bindi is seen cradling her newborn in her arms.

While the second, shows a younger Terri smiling alongside Bindi as a baby.

Bindi and Chandler announced their daughter’s birth on March 26, just one day after she was born on their first wedding anniversary.

‘March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter,’ she wrote on Instagram.

Bindi went on to explain the sentimental meaning behind their child’s unique name. 

‘Grace is named after my great-grandmother and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,’ she wrote.

‘Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad [Steve Irwin] and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.

‘There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed.’

Steve Irwin died in September 2006 at the age of 44, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.
