Big Brother host Sonia Kruger reveals the one thing she NEVER wanted her six-year-old daughter to ask her
Sonia Kruger has revealed the one thing she never wanted her young daughter to ask her.
That question is simply, ‘Mumma…I really want a sister.’
In a column for The Daily Telegraph on Saturday, the Big Brother host revealed the request was made by her six-year-old daughter Maddie.

Sonia, 55, said she was caught off guard by the plea, as Maggie pressed again, ‘I really want a big sister.’
The presenter reassured her daughter that she does have step-siblings – a big sister and five brothers, however they are adults, and half live in Queensland.
Maggie, who wasn’t having it, then asked for a ‘big sister who lives with us.’

Kruger diverted the conversation by explaining the benefits of being an only child.
‘As an only child you don’t have to share. No hand-me-down clothes, no fights over toys and no vain attempts to garner the undivided attention of a parent,’ she said.
She then reasoned with her daughter and told her that many children ‘don’t have brothers or sisters.’

‘There’s no doubt being an only child has its pros and cons,’ the reality TV host explained.
Sonia shares Maggie, born via IVF treatment in 2015, with TV executive partner Craig McPherson.
It has undoubtedly been a tough journey for the Channel Nine personality, having fallen pregnant naturally a few times before the pregnancies ended in miscarriage.

With her strong desire to start a family, the blonde beauty decided to give IVF a go at the age of 45, but endured failed attempts.
At the age of 49, a close friend donated an egg to the TV host, and she fell pregnant with Maddie.
She will next host the highly anticipated 10th season of The Voice Australia on the Seven Network.
