Yet despite producers’ best efforts at keeping viewers entertained, many fans were left underwhelmed by the paired-down finale.

‘COVID has made this finale hella awkward to be honest’, one viewer complained on Twitter.

‘Production team needs to be fired for this absolute crock of s**t of a ‘finale” another agreed.

Others complained about the use of a ‘fake crowd’ which could be heard clapping despite the lack of live audience.

‘Did they even need to do this s**ty attempt of a Grand finale? The fake crowd is cringe; and we all know the king of sob will be the winner,’ one person Tweeted.
