Beauty blogger Chloe Morello reveals her newborn son's unique name

Australian Beauty blogger Chloe Morello has finally revealed the name of her newborn son.

The 30-year-old made the big reveal on Instagram on Tuesday, after welcoming her tiny tot earlier this month. 

Chloe said that she and husband Sebastian Mecha have named their boy Santino, a name she said is inspired by her love of the hit film The Godfather.

Chloe said Santino will go by the name Sonny for short.

In the hit 1972 hit film The Godfather, there is a fictional character named Santino ‘Sonny’ Corleone, who is the son of mobster Don Vito Corleone.

Chloe explained she won’t be sharing too much about her son online for the sake of his privacy, but explained: ‘I didn’t necessarily see the need in sharing his name but I don’t want to worry and always have to be always cautious about slipping up… So I am excited to tell you our beautiful sons name is Santino!’

‘I’ve always wanted a son with this name, and YES it’s from the Godfather lol,’ she said.

‘I have loved it since I was a teenager after reading the books and seeing the movie often with my Dad. Luckily Seba loves it too, and the nickname ‘Sonny” is adorable.’

Chloe thanked fans for the well wishes and added that she’s been focusing on her son.

‘We are all doing well, he’s getting better at breastfeeding (thanks to the shields) and other than that he loves to sleep, be cuddled and carried around the house facing forward so he can look around,’ she said.

‘Friday June 4th 2:30am. Welcome to the World SON!’ Sebastian wrote at the time, underneath a picture of his baby boy clutching onto his fingers.  

The new mum also shared the happy news to her Instagram Stories, writing: ‘Hey everyone, I had our baby last night at 2.30am,’ alongside a drowsy picture of herself in a hospital bed. 

She also revealed that he’d been admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit, meaning their hospital stay would be longer than expected.

Almost 24 hours earlier, the brunette beauty let her fans in on the most intimate moment of her life by livestreaming her labour on Instagram.

Chloe updated her followers with photos and videos before dashing to hospital shortly after 8am just ahead of ‘peak hour traffic’.

They announced their engagement in early 2017 months after he popped the question during a camping trip in Toronto in October 2016.

The couple tied the knot in an extravagant wedding ceremony on a luxury yacht as it sailed around Sydney Harbour in January 2018.
