Australia's Next Top Model star Sophie Van Den Akker marries fiancé Heath Decker

Australia’s Next Top Model star Sophie Van Den Akker has tied the knot with her partner Heath Decker.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together in October, married in front of friends and family at a lavish ceremony in Victoria’s Upper Yarra Valley on Friday.

Sharing a glimpse at her nuptials via Instagram on Saturday, Sophie, 30, uploaded a photo of the couple’s hands resting on top of each other.

The pairs’ wedding bands were visible in the black-and-white photo, as well as Sophie’s unique rhinestone-encrusted manicure.  

‘MR and MRS DECKER 25•06•2021,’ Sophie captioned the post, adding a love heart emoji.   

She returned to Instagram on Wednesday to share another throwback photo from the wedding, alongside a heartfelt tribute to her new husband.

Sophie floated down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder gown with blouson sleeves by Melbourne designer Mariana Hardwick. 

She completed her wedding day look with diamond jewellery by Steve Pallas.

‘It was truly the best day of our lives,’ Sophie told The Herald Sun on Wednesday. 

Of her decision to have a more intimate wedding, Sophie added: ‘There was a different feel and such beautiful vulnerability of emotions on the day. Beyond happy.’  

Sophie and Heath announced their engagement in April, just days before revealing they were expecting their first child together. 

Sophie rose to fame at age 19 after placing third in the sixth cycle of Australia’s Next Top Model.
