Australian Survivor: Brains vs Brawn: Joey takes on rival George during a fiery tribal council and says he’s ‘not scared’ of the ‘political operative’

Australian Survivor’s George Mladenov was not afraid to tell the Brains tribe he was top dog as he wore the immunity idol on Monday’s episode.

But his rival Joey McCann also wasn’t shy about calling out the 31-year-old public servant during a fiery clash at the tribal council.

The former tradie-turned-businessman slammed the ‘political operative’ for flaunting the immunity idol at the Brains camp after losing a challenge.

Joey did not hold back as he shared his thoughts about the Bankstown Labor Party President, saying: ‘George wearing an idol doesn’t scare me.’

‘The power of the idol scares me – does George scare me? Not so much. I feel like George can’t see beyond his own ego,’ he told host Jonathan LaPaglia.

‘George is a guy that’s out playing for himself… I don’t trust him after the first immunity challenge, and I don’t think I ever could again, because he drew a line in the sand that night.’

‘How do you save five people and wake up with no allies the next day?’ Joey added.

'I'm here to play Survivor': George, clearly keeping his cool, hit right back saying: 'More bulldust. I'm not here to make allies, I'm not here to be the Miss Congeniality of the season'

‘I’m here to play Survivor, and to focus on what I value. I’m not afraid to stand up for what I believe in – if that crucifies me, so be it,’ he brashly added as several Brains tribe members raised their eyebrows.

With the heated clash behind them, it was then time for the tribe to cast their votes.

It comes after addition of George to the cast of Australian Survivor: Brains vs Brawn had the Labor Party worried, The Australian reported last month.

George worked as a former staffer to NSW state Labor MP Tania Mihailuk and is the Bankstown Labor Party President.

In a promo for the reality show, he said he’d been preparing for his role on Survivor throughout his entire political career.

He was described as an ‘expert negotiator and a master manipulator’ who will ‘stop at nothing to make it to the final tribal council’.
