William Saliba minutes
Another positive for Mikel Arteta will be the fact William Saliba came through unscathed in both matches he played for France. The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s best young central defenders over the past year and has been a key part of Arsenal’s success this season.
Saliba played just over 90 minutes through the two games and appears fit and ready for the derby this weekend.
Bukayo Saka out of position
While Arsenal have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, Bukayo Saka has struggled to make an impact so far. He’s scored just one goal, although he provided two assists in the 3-0 win over Brentford prior to the international break.
Gareth Southgate is a huge fan of the 21-year-old and he started England’s game against Italy, albeit as a makeshift left wing-back playing behind Raheem Sterling. That will have hardly helped Arteta in trying to get the best out of Saka with the Arsenal star predominantly playing on right and further forward for the Gunners.
