7th Heaven star Beverley Mitchell has admitted she has been comparing herself to other mothers who seem to have it all together amid the pandemic.

Swamped with housework, childcare, and her own job, Beverley confessed she could not help but measure herself against other women as she found herself ‘drowning’ just to stay on top of her own responsibilities.

However, Beverley, 40, acknowledged not everything is as it appears on social media as she proudly showed off her wrinkles in a filter-free selfie.

‘I find myself struggling lately,’ Beverley began in the post. ‘Comparing myself to everyone else, to everyone so put together, to those out enjoying their lives and traveling while we are still at home, to the clean houses, to the perfect mommies who seem to be killing the game and I have to be honest I feel like I am drowning!’

With their children still in Zoom school as they continued working from home, Beverly admitted she and her husband Michael Cameron were struggling to get ahead.

‘Having the kids still in zoom school and working from home with just Michael and I, I cannot get ahead! The house is overwhelming, all the meals, the laundry, and don’t get me started on work! I haven’t done our books in months because by the end of the night I am exhausted! So to all those struggling, I am so with you.

‘Not looking for sympathy because honestly we are blessed but you can still feel overwhelmed and at times just like a failure. But then you take a breath and remember not everything on ig is real. Swipe right to see how filters change everything. I mean man, I would love to look like that but not my reality and that’s ok.

‘If only I had a filter to clean my house #instagramvsreality #keepitreal #struggleisreal #momlife #tired so sending out love to you all. And this is me wrinkles and all and that’s ok.’

Beverley was referring to the selfie she posted in which she showed off her wrinkles while flashing a confident smile.

She compared the untouched snap with other selfies where a filter had been applied, concealing her fine lines.
