Many of the popular TV show’s fans were furious with the final episode and vented their frustrations on social media as well as a petition that demands the remake of season eight with ‘competent writers’, which has hit over one-and-a-half million signatures.
The Game of Thrones series ended with Daenerys Targaryen, played by British actress Emilia Clarke, being murdered by Jon Snow, who is portrayed by fellow Brit Kit Harington, after she burned down all of King’s Landing with her dragon Drogon.
Many fans also felt the final season, which saw Brandon Stark claim the Iron Throne, was rushed and could have even been split into two seasons.
However, Rollins, who is a big fan of the drama series, disagrees with all the ‘whining and complaining’ and was pleased with the finale.
The three-time world champion, though, admitted that he is very sad to see it go.
Rollins told WrestlingAC: “Game of Thrones was great.
“Very sad to see it go but I thought it ended well.
“I was really happy with the final season so I’m not one of those people that was whining and complaining about it.
“I loved it.
“It was a great show, I was happy to see it finishing how they wanted it to finish.
“So it was cool.”
Rollins watched the final episode with fellow WWE superstars Cesaro, Xavier Woods and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
The popular stars’ were in absolute shock with the ending and their reactions were filmed by WWE.
Rollins is scheduled to defend the Universal Championship against Baron Corbin at Stomping Grounds this Sunday at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
