A woman has been left distraught after accidentally getting the word “meow” tattooed on the outside of her lip instead of the inside. She shared the hilarious fail on TikTok, with the video raking in hundreds of thousands of views as shocked viewers asked how the Swedish woman didn’t notice the tattoo artist tattooing the outside of her lip. Wilma Hagglund had wanted the word tattooed on the inside of her lip which would only be visible once she pulled her lip down.
But it appears the tattoo artist didn’t get the memo as the word was branded on the outside of her lip, leaving it obvious to the world as she walks around with “meow” clearly visible.
Writing in Swedish, Wilma said via TikTok: “he tattooed on the wrong place in my f****** mouth” before showing the intended design of a woman with the word on the inside of her lip.
Finally, she shows off the tattoo she received which is far less discrete than her original idea.
The clip has since gone viral with people confused as to how the accident occurred without her knowing.
Some questioned whether the woman had been drinking beforehand, while others accused her of not clearly telling the tattoo artist what she wanted.
One user said: “Were you passed out during? How do you not feel the placement difference? Didn’t you have to hold your lip open? HOW girl how?”
Meanwhile, another added: “I’m literally mad that you just didn’t notice or say anything like this is on you.”
“Why…Did you not notice they were tattooing it outside?” someone else asked.

It is unclear whether Wilma intends to have the tattoo removed, but judging by her reaction it is likely the young woman will be looking into her options following the mistake.
Despite Wilma being in tears following the accident, others are able to see the funny sides, with hundreds reacting with crying laughing emojis as she walks around with the odd word tattooed on the outside of her lip.
