Princess Diana’s statue unveiling will be “as lowkey as possible”, a royal commentator has claimed. Prince William and Prince Harry will both attend the event in honour of their late mother. ITV Royal Rota podcast host Chris Ship gave insight into how the memorial may be handled.
He told listeners: “Harry’s come over before this unveiling of his mother’s statute on July 1.
“That’s on what would have been her 60th birthday.
“The long-awaited statue unveiling has been in the works for a very long time.
“There’s not a lot we can tell you in the meantime.”

Mr Ship continued: “My guess would be that they’re going to try and keep it as lowkey as possible.
“They know that there’s going to be that sort of psychodrama surrounding it all.
“The media will be looking at who is standing where.
“Who’s saying what to whom and what their body language was like.”
The former working royal arrived back into the UK recently.
As the United States is currently on amber on the travel list, he is required by law to self-isolate.
This visit marks the second time the Duke of Sussex has been back in the UK since he and Meghan Markle left last year.
Harry had attended his grandfather, Prince Philip’s funeral in April this year.
The Duchess of Sussex has stayed behind with their children, Archie and newborn Lilibet Diana.
