Specifics about the film’s plot points are currently being withheld from the public, although Deadline pointed out that production was set to begin next month.
Adam Warlock’s on-screen debut was hinted at during the end of Vol. 2, in which Ayesha, portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki, showed off the development of a character who would defeat the Guardians.
Work on the project began during the production of the second film, during which Gunn came up with several ideas for a future feature.

Many fans of the franchise later came out in support of the director, and several of its stars, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper, issued a statement to express their admiration for the filmmaker.
Dave Bautista notably threatened to leave the film series if the writer was not reinstated by Disney and Marvel executives.
