    He spoke with Express.co.uk about vitamin D.

    “The Government recommendation is for people to supplement during the winter months,” he said. “I mostly agree with that.

    “Certainly if you have a darker complexion like myself you know you’d probably want to supplement all year round.

    “There are a few experts who disagree with the advice, but I think it’s pretty innocuous.

    “You might as well take a supplement because there is a plausible mechanism by which that can improve mood.”
