Val Kilmer’s children Mercedes, 29, and Jack, 26, appeared in good spirits on Tuesday as they larked about at the afterparty for the Amazon Studios documentary about their father.
The siblings had earlier attended the film’s premiere and were sure to let their hair down in the evening as they celebrated the film’s screening in Los Angeles, California.
Despite starring in the documentary – which is largely made up of footage he filmed of himself through his life – Val was not pictured hitting the carpet for the premiere.

Mercedes and Jack seemed happily posed for pictures with each other, with Mercedes having fun playing with an orange faux flower decoration.
The siblings then separated to share snaps with other guests at the event including the documentary’s producer Ali Alborzi.
The duo also posed with director/editors Leo Scott and Ting Poo during the afterparty.

Meanwhile Mercedes was boho chic in a slightly crinkled striped dress that was accented with a bit of black corsetry.

Jack provides the voice-over narration of the documentary but his lines were written by Val himself who survived a brutal bout of throat cancer a few years ago.
In a recent Deadline interview about the movie Jack remembered the way his father would always make sure to record footage of his life through the years.

‘We had the camera around all the time, with dad taking photos and videos. We never saw any of the footage,’ said Jack.
‘He just would keep creating, boxes and boxes. At a certain point we said: “This is enough, what are all these tapes doing?”‘ he added.
‘They all accumulated in this vault that Leo spent years going through,’ Jack noted in reference to co-director Leo Scott.

Mercedes chimed in with her own recollection: ‘“We used to get so annoyed with him filming us all the time. And then I remember getting to be about 12 and realizing what he does and being like: “Oh, he’s a filmmaker.”‘
The movie began a limited theatrical release on July 23 but will be widely available to stream on Amazon Prime this Friday.
Val shares Jack and Mercedes with his Willow co-star Joanne Whalley whom he was married to from 1988 until their divorce in 1996.
