Tyson Fury's dad claims Eddie Hearn has cost Anthony Joshua 'over £100m' in new video

Tyson Fury’s father has hit out at promoter Eddie Hearn, claiming he has stopped Anthony Joshua from earning a windfall of over £100m from the unbeaten world heavyweight champion. Talks over an all-British showdown in December appear to have come to a halt after issues between the two parties over the contract agreements – and John Fury says there is only one man to blame.

Earlier this week, Matchroom chief Hearn suggested the fight was now off and pointed the finger as Joshua’s camp had not heard back from Fury after his latest social media rant, where he set a deadline for pen to be put to paper.

But Fury’s father John has now hit back at Hearn with a video of his own and called out the promoter, insisting he is the one responsible for Joshua missing out on a huge pay day following back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

“Mr Brains of Britain, let me explain it to you how you have cost your man over £100m. £15m step aside, free money, then Tyson would have gone and done what AJ couldn’t do and beat Usyk and bring all of those belts back to the UK,” he said in the Instagram video.

Earlier this week, Hearn admitted his confusion at the desperation of Fury’s camp to get the fight over the line imminently and stated there were still conversations to be had about the commercial rights to the fight.

“We’re 10 days to two weeks into negotiating the biggest fight in boxing I’m sorry Tyson but it does take a little bit of time, the bulk of the terms are done, but there a lot of commercial conversations that still need to take place,” he said.

“Everyone is working hard to try and make the fight but, I just don’t believe a word Tyson says and I have my doubts the fight will happen in December.”
