But in an interview with the Behind the Gloves podcast, Fury suggested Joyce needed to build his profile first, joking: “Can he beat the Gypsy King? Probably not, but I’d like to see it one day. I said to Joe, ‘You’ve got like 150,000 followers, you need to build your profile’. My wife has a million, so she’s more popular than the top ten heavyweights.”
The Morecambe man is clearly referring to Instagram, where he himself boasts 5.7 million followers. Joyce does actually a bigger following than the one quoted by Fury, with his account tracked by 178,000 users.
