It’s the show where sexy singles have to avoid sexual contact with each other for four weeks in order to win a $100,000 prize.
And in an exclusive interview with MailOnline alongside co-star Larissa, Emily, 27, and Cam, 24, joked over how they struggled to keep their hands off each other despite the prize fund dropping every time they broke the rules and got amorous.
Contestants are informed when they arrive that there will be ‘no kissing, no heavy petting and no sex’ during their time on the show so they can form more ’emotional’ connections instead.

‘Look at him, would you be concerned?’ Too Hot To Handle star Emily admitted she and Cam struggled to keep their hands off each other despite potentially losing $100K prize
But, despite the warning, the pair found it difficult to avoid, and when asked the model said: ‘Look at him, would you be concerned?’
With Cam adding in a matter-of-fact tone: ‘I wasn’t really concerned, for me I’m used to just doing what I want really.
‘I thought I found [Emily] very attractive so I thought I’ll kind of just do what I want. I wanted to secure it down, that’s how I looked at it so I wasn’t too bothered.’
And Emily concurred as she went on: ‘Same for me, I’ve never been one for the rules and I certainly wasn’t going to let Lana get in my way!’

Hands off: Contestants are told there will be ‘no kissing, no heavy petting and no sex’ during their time on the show so they can form more ’emotional’ connections instead

Goodness! But, despite the warning, Emily and Cam found it difficult to avoid, and when asked the model said: ‘I’ve never been one for the rules’
Reflecting on their time on the show, and how it helped change their serial dating habits, Emily claimed: ‘I definitely went in there a bit of a man-eater, you know?
‘Breaking boy’s hearts here and there, and I had to learn a lot about myself in the retreat, I had to face some demons, some home truths. I’ve definitely applied it to my life now and it’s worked, I feel so much better.’
New Zealand lawyer Larissa concurred, as she said: ‘I’ve learned a lot and I realised how much I’m applying it back home.

Candid: Reflecting on the show, Emily claimed: ‘I definitely went in there a bit of a man-eater… I had to face some demons, some home truths. I’ve definitely applied it to my life now’
‘I realised I shut myself off to guys and it’s like I have a fear of abandonment, which was a real home truth.
‘You think you’re going on this show to party but at the end of it it’s like therapy. I think it’s awesome, it helped me out a lot.’
Cam also discussed the benefits of being on the show, as he said: ‘I’m literally a changed person, I went in as this serial dater, I’ve been single for four years and I couldn’t stick to any girl.
‘I had a lot of issues which I didn’t even know I had, and the show brought it up to the surface.
‘Even when I came home my friends and family were like yea “you’re legit a different person, a different boy”, or a man like I like to say.’
Of the experience, Emily added: ‘It was absolutely amazing, as well as good times there were some bad times as well but it made it what it is and I’ve definitely come out the other side.’
And Cam reflected: ‘It legit is like a bubble, you’re within this crazy, unreal experience.

Helpful: New Zealand lawyer Larissa concurred, as she said: ‘I’ve learned a lot and I realised how much I’m applying it back home’
‘As [Emily] said the highs can be really high but the lows can be really low, so it’s definitely challenging.
‘It had some challenging points, especially for me, but it was such an unreal and unique experience and literally I had the time of my life there.’
He added: ‘Before the show, for me, it was just sex and nothing really mattered but since the villa I just realised there’s a lot more to it than just sex.

Honest: Larissa went on, ‘I shut myself off and it’s like I have a fear of abandonment, which was a real home truth. You think you’re going on this show to party but at the end it’s like therapy’
‘I don’t want to sound cheesy, but there are a lot of emotions involved, there’s a lot of nicer things than just sex so it wasn’t just that.’
The cast of the show first believed they were going onto a show about sexy singles hooking up and got an unexpected surprise that they were on Too Hot To Handle, but the trio admitted they’d have still signed up to the reality competition show had they known what it was to begin with.
Cam admitted: ‘I feel like I would have gone there with a different attitude, the fact we were there to party, have sex, have fun I went there thinking we’re going to singles camp I’m going to do well in here!

Series 2! Meet the contestants hoping to bag the $100,000 prize fund as they take part in the show (L-R Cam, Emily, Larissa, Peter, Nathan, Marvin, Chase, Carly, Melinda and Kayla)
‘And then, obviously I was shut down and it was Too Hot To Handle. Obviously, if I’d known that from the start then it might have been a little different. I might have actually not done anything.’
Joking about Cam and Emily’s regular rule breaks, Larissa hit back: ‘Guys, it didn’t really matter that it was Too Hot To Handle for you two!’
