Former Chief Immigration Officer for the UK Border Force, Kevin Saunders insisted the EU was not doing its job on stopping illegal crossings of the British Channel into the UK. While speaking on GB News, Mr Saunders argued this was a European problem as migrants would come through EU countries before they attempt to cross the channel. He also spoke in favour of the UK processing these migrants at an offshore centre.
In addition, Mr Saunders admitted there was no issue with those seeking asylum in the UK however he claimed that many were economic migrants.
