The Voice: Ed Sheeran debuts as mega mentor for Knockouts round and reminisces with Ariana Grande
Ed Sheeran made his debut as a mega mentor on The Voice on Monday and reminisced with new coach Ariana Grande.
The 30-year-old English singer-songwriter joined Ariana, 28, as the Knockouts round began on the NBC singing competition show.
‘I’m so excited you’re here. Hi,’ Ariana said as she hugged him.

‘Nice to see you. And you’re married now?,’ Ed asked.
‘I am. You as well?,’ Ariana answered.
‘Yeah. We had a kid,’ Ed confirmed.
‘That is so exciting,’ Ariana said.

The pop star said she first met Ed in 2012 when she had red hair and he was at her manager’s office.
‘He is a brilliant songwriter,’ Ariana said.

Ariana named Raqeul as the winner after they both sang, but Katy was stolen by judge Kelly Clarkson, 39.
The episode opened with Blake Shelton, 45, pairing Wendy Moten against Jonathan Mouton.

She named Gymani the winner after she belted out Pillowtalk.
John Legend, 42, matched Joshua Vacanti against Sabrina Dias who performed a unique version of Ed’s song Photograph.

Blake also pitted Libianca against Hailey Green and named Libianca the winner after she sang the Billie Eilish song Everything I Wanted.
Kelly matched her trio Girl Named Tom against Holly Forbes.

The American Idol winner picked Girl Named Tom as the winner after their rendition of Wichita Lineman.
Holly, however, was stolen by Ariana.
