Spencer Pratt, 37, and Heidi Montag, 34, idea for a healing trip for everyone to Palm Springs miraculously brought all the friends together on the Season 2 finale of MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings.
The cast had to get through a few awkward moments before all appeared to be forgiven, with Kaitlynn Carter, 32, finally introducing her new boyfriend Kristopher Brock, 30, to her ex Brody Jenner, 37, while Spencer and Heidi finally buried the hatchet with Ashley Wahler, 32, and Jason Wahler, 34.
The last episode before Wednesday’s Season 2 finale ended with Kaitlynn telling Brody she was pregnant, but the finale found Brody and Kristopher finally meeting.

The episode began where the penultimate episode left off, with Brody telling Kaitlynn he had already, ‘heard through the grapevine’ that she was expecting.
‘How well do you know this guy?’ Brody asked. ‘We’ve spent six years together and me being one of the last people to find out that’s what hurt me most.’
Brody told her that she had all the time in the world to tell him herself about her pregnancy but that she didn’t. Brody told her that he also understood that it wasn’t his business. Brody told her that regardless, he knew she would be the best mother.
He knows: The episode began where the penultimate episode left off, with Brody telling Kaitlynn he had already, ‘heard through the grapevine’ that she was expecting

As part of the group’s healing trip to Palm Springs, Justin Brescia, 39, met with an Indian healer at the group retreat.
Justin told the healer he was a traveler but that sometimes that made having relationships difficult. The healer told him to be free and to let people in.

Heidi and Spencer were both hoping that they were going to be having another baby. Heidi took a pregnancy test, but it told her she wasn’t pregnant. Spencer told her she was putting herself through an emotional rollercoaster.
‘I can’t help how I feel,’ Heidi said when she started crying.
In a confessional, she said trying to get pregnant has been hard. She was going to try to let go and be content in the moment.

Back in her room, Kaitlynn told her boyfriend Kristopher, that she told Brody about the pregnancy. He asked how it went.
‘I’m really excited to meet him,’ Kristopher said.
Audrina Patridge, 36, also took the time during the retreat to meet with a healer. She told the healer that she she wanted to focus on loving and working on herself.

At night, the group had a western themed party with a mechanical bull. Heidi and Spencer both rode the bull.
Justin told Audrina that he found it inspiring to be around this many pregnant women and that it was making I’m feel like I had a male biological clock.
Brandon Thomas Lee, 25, was upset over his relationship with his former girlfriend Dani. While the group of friends was learning how to line dance, Brandon sat alone on a haystack.
Western: At night, the group had a western themed party with a mechanical bull. Heidi and Spencer both rode the bull
Inspiring: Justin told Audrina that he found it inspiring to be around this many pregnant women and that it was making I’m feel like I had a male biological clock

Brandon eventually came around. He said in confessional that on nights like these he was glad to have his friends around. ‘I’m grateful to be alive,’ he said.
During the western themed event, Jason Wahler, 34, and Ashley Slack, 32, were planning on making amends and going to thank Heidi and Spencer for the trip. But before they could, Heidi and Spencer left the party.

Kaitlynn said in a confessional that she hoped things would improve between the two of them. ‘They are not punching each other in the face or anything,’ she said.

The next morning, Ashley met with a healer. She told her that she had been invited on this healing trip by people who had been unkind.
She said she wanted to let go of trying to be influenced by other people’s behavior. She said for a long time she found it hard to stick up for herself.
Ashley said in a confessional that had been working to control her behavior all year. She said this was a healing trip and that ‘even if the Pratts aren’t willing to heal our rift, the one thing that I can control is myself and learning to deal with that.’
Healer: The next morning, Ashley met with a healer. She told her that she had been invited on this healing trip by people who had been unkind
Influenced: She said she wanted to let go of trying to be influenced by other people’s behavior. She said for a long time she found it hard to stick up for herself
For the final night of the healing trip, everyone wore white and met by the pool for drinks. Kaitlyn told Justin that even though her child was only 11 weeks old, they already knew it was a boy. Justin told her he was excited for her and this next chapter of her life.
Justin said in a confessional that he finally realized that ‘doing things you don’t necessarily want to do is more profound than being nomadic and fleeting and doing what you absolutely want to do.’
As the group sat down for dinner, Jason and Ashley approached Spencer to bury the hatchet.
White: For the final night of the healing trip, everyone wore white and met by the pool for drinks

Bury: As the group sat down for dinner, Jason and Ashley approached Spencer to bury the hatchet
‘I just wanted to say thank you for having us,’ Jason told Spencer.
‘My goal was for everyone to have fun,’ Spencer said.
Ashely said that she had fun. Heidi jumped in and said that ‘at the end of the day we don’t want this negativity with you guys. We never have. We never wanted this strife.’

‘At the end of the day, I’m just excited to have peace with them,’ Heidi said in a confessional. She said she just wanted to move forward in a positive way.

She said her priorities were being a mother for her daughter. ‘Who know if Brody and I will ever synch up but I don’t want to settle. I’ve settled in the past and I’m not settling anymore until I have exactly what I want.’
Close: Brody and Audrina took a moment to hang out with each other. Brody told Audrina that Kris seemed nice but they thought Kaitlynn’s relationship was a little quick. Brody told her that he thought he was very close with Audrina

Audrina told Brody it was all about timing. The two hugged. At the dinner, everyone appeared to have benefited from the healing experience. They all laughed and hugged.
‘Dude, do you see what is happening, how beautiful this is? Everyone is laughing,’ Brandon said to Justin and Jason. ‘This is just the best thing that could happen.’
In a confessional, Brandon said Palm Springs went much better than he expected and that everyone got along.
Timing: Audrina told Brody it was all about timing. The two hugged. At the dinner, everyone appeared to have benefited from the healing experience. They all laughed and hugged
‘One of the things I realized is I truly value true friends,’ said Brody.
At the end of the evening, almost all the friends except for Brandon and Audrina jumped into the pool.
Ashley said in the last confessional here is to new beginnings and then introduced her new child ‘baby Wyatt.’
