Steve, Simon, Kelly, and Donna were welcomed onto the latest instalment of The Chase by host Bradley Walsh. However, as the episode got underway, eagle-eyed viewers noticed the episode was filmed “three years ago” and wondered why it had not been aired before.
Glaswegian Steve was the first player to face the Chaser after he raised £4,000 in his cash builder round.
Bradley introduced Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis as “the new Chaser” on the show even though his first episode aired on ITV in November 2020.
Darragh explained he was a former contestant on the ITV programme who had the opportunity to be trained up as a Chaser.
As Steve made it through to the final with £4,000, viewers quickly realised the episode was filmed back in 2019.

As the show continued Simon raised £6,000 in his opening round and quickly beat the Chaser to join Steve in the final.
Following Kelly’s cash builder round, she decided to play against Darragh for £1,000, and to her relief, she made it through to the final.
Donna, the final player of the night, bagged £4,000 in her first round and was hoping to add that to the final prize fund.
She played “brilliantly” and brought the prize money up to £15,000 as she joined the other three contestants.
