The Block host Scott Cam has fronted the hit Channel Nine show for a decade, after first signing up back in 2010.
And it seems that former tradesman Scotty, 58, isn’t going anywhere, with New Idea reporting the TV star is signing up as host of the show for another three seasons.
A network insider reportedly told the publication that Scotty is considered a ‘god’ behind the scenes and is ‘one of the network’s most viable stars,’ with the news coming after the show was renewed for another three years.

‘Scotty is one of the network’s most viable stars and has led the show from strength to strength,’ the source claimed.
They added: ‘It works since Scotty is the perfect balance to all the chaos, he is the voice of reason, the wise expert, and he knows how to handle the firecracker contestants.’
Last week, it was revealed that The Block had been renewed by Nine for another three years.

Nine Entertainment Co. was in talks with the producers of the hit renovation series earlier last week to extend the show’s contract for three additional seasons for the next three years, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Industry sources later confirmed the network and The Block co-creators Julian Cress and David Barbour had agreed to the conditions of the extension.
The Block has just ended its seventeenth season and has proved to be a ratings success for Nine this year.

This year’s show had a slow start throughout August due to stiff competition from The Voice on Channel Seven, but later found its footing and began to draw impressive metro ratings from Sunday to Wednesday.
It has since become Nine’s best-performing show for September and October.
The Block is also Nine’s most profitable prime-time program due to the myriad of commercial deals with sponsors that appear in the series.
Next year’s season will be heading to the country, specifically to the regional town of Kyneton, which is 89km northwest of Melbourne.
It’s the first time in the show’s 18-year history the setting will be in a rural location.
