The Block’s Tanya and Vito Guccione say they’ve received ‘death threats’ over the show’s cheating scandal… before teasing ANOTHER surprising twist is set to shock viewers

The Block stars Tanya and Vito Guccione say they have received ‘death threats’ from vile trolls over their involvement in the show’s cheating scandal.

Earlier this week, the couple had two points docked from their latest room reveal, after Tanya confessed an ‘anonymous tradie’ had sent her a picture of the production schedule in week one – giving anyone who saw it an unfair advantage.

On Tuesday morning, the duo told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa that the backlash they have faced on the outside has been catastrophic, with trolls even calling their workplaces to leave messages of abuse.

‘Obviously we’re doing our best to stay offline but… there has been death threats,’ Tanya, 39, said.

‘People have called Vito’s business and called my agent because I’m a makeup artist and left them abusive comments and e-mails.

‘People are angry at the moment. They’re really upset; it’s an audience that are not happy in their lives and are in lockdown, and they take it out on me.’

The duo went on to confirm that the scandal is far from over – even hinting that more couples could be dragged into the drama in upcoming weeks.

‘There’s lots of twists and turns on the block. And there is definitely a lot more of this cheating scandal to unfold,’ Tanya said.

‘I think the reason why I particularly look so bloody smug all the time is because I know what’s going on.’

‘And also that’s the reason why I am so paranoid,’ Vito added. ‘Seeing why wife apologize when you know that there’s something maybe deeper going on, right?

‘I’ve been married to this woman for 20 years and I have her back, and that really hurts me.’

Despite claims that someone broke into host Scott Cam’s office to take the photograph of the schedule, Tanya is adamant that this was not the case.

‘There was definitely no break-in,’ she said. ‘The first week that we were there shooting promo for The Block, it was in a common place where a few people ducked in to use the bathroom because they hadn’t set up the Tea Room bathrooms yet.

‘So yes, I think a few people came by it definitely in a place where you could definitely see it.’

The cheating scandal unravelled last week after it emerged someone had taken a photo of the production schedule and leaked it to the contestants in week one.

The whiteboard revealed the dates each challenge was scheduled for, what times the judges would arrive for a tour, and when furniture consults would occur.

Anyone who saw the photo would have the advantage of being able to plan their specifications weeks in advance or pre-order something for a specific room.

After suspicion initially fell on Love Island twins Josh and Luke Packham, Tanya finally confessed to producers she was the first person to see the photo.

The twins also had two points deducted from their latest room reveal as punishment.

This effectively ruled both teams out of winning the challenge.
