Fans of The Bill would have been left doing a double take when Jeff Stewart, 67, stepped out in London on Friday.
The actor, who portrayed PC Reg Hollis from 1984 until 2008, looks a world away from his character with a huge beard and curly hair.
Jeff was pictured enjoying lunch at a restaurant wearing tinted glasses and a leather coat.
During his time on The Bill, Jeff sported a far more clean-cut image with minimal facial hair and dark brown curly hair.
PC Hollis was one of the most popular characters on the show, however, in 2008 he was dropped when his contract was not renewed.
Upon hearing the news, Jeff ended up in hospital after a reported suicide attempt, according to BBC.
Since The Bill, Jeff has had roles in films such as Dead Man Running, Under Jakob’s Ladder and Lake Placid: The Final Chapter.
