With Halloween just around the corner, there are plenty of ghoulish tricks to look forward to – but thanks to some of the best beauty brands on the market, there are also a host of treats to take your mind off even the scariest spooks out there.
The past few weeks have seen a slew of new beauty launches – and there are also several exciting innovations set to hit shelves in the coming weeks, including a new skincare hit from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty.
And the chart-topper is not the only A-lister launching an exciting new beauty product; Drew Barrymore is also making moves in the industry with the launch of a hair tool collection.
The Flower Hair Tools line includes ‘six styling essentials’, from a hair dryer to a straightening brush, as well as several travel options.
Read on to discover all of the other beauty brilliance taking skincare sirens and makeup mavens by storm…
Ace for the face: Augustinus Bader has expanded its celebrity-loved skincare collection with a new Exfoliating Toner. The Essence (left, $85) promises to leave users with a ‘clear, revitalized, radiant complexion’ thanks to an effective formula that contains TFC8, hydroxy acids, and high-potency botanicals. Meanwhile, popular makeup brand Nudestix has expanded into skincare with the launch of Nudeskin, a line of five products to ‘renew the skin’ that includes a Gentle Hydra Gel Face Cleanser (right, $18) as well as moisturizer and toner.
Make a wish! Beauty guru Huda Kattan has expanded her Wishful skincare line with the new Honey Balm Niacinamide Moisturizer ($49), a soothing formula that will work wonders on any skin type, helping to ‘boost luminosity’ and ‘minimize the appearance of pores’.
Feeling fresh: Newly-launched beauty brand Dieux debuted its first product earlier this month, the Forever Eye Mask ($25). The reusable gel under-eye patches are designed to be used again and again, rather than the majority of sheet mask products that are discarded after just one use. The patches, which sold out hours after launching, are intended to be used with under eye products like creams and serums, and help to maximize the formulas by ‘holding them close to the skin for maximum absorption’.
Pretty in pink: Millie Bobby Brown’s beauty brand Florence by Mills has just debuted a new peel-off face mask that will not only soothe stressed out skin, it’s also great for Instagram shots thanks to the pretty rose gold shade. The Low-Key Calming Peel Off Mask ($22) contains a calming blend of ingredients including water lily extract, chamomile extract and witch hazel to soothe even the angriest of complexions.
Special care: The skin around the lips and the eyes needs extra attention, and both of these products will help to ensure that those areas are well cared for. As we head into winter, it’s wise to have a super lip mask on hand, and the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (left, $22) is one of the best. The fact that it now comes in a delicious Mint Choco flavor just makes it that much more appealing. Meanwhile the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Eye Base (right, $54) combines the power of an excellent eye cream with the smoothing benefits of a primer, making it the ultimate two-in-one product.
Brrrr: Speaking of winter, there is no doubt that the cold weather can wreak havoc on your skin – and there is no better way to prepare yourself than with this handy kit of skincare essentials from skincare guru Dr. Barbara Sturm ($265).
Hydration nation: Keeping your skin feeling healthy and plump during the winter is always an uphill battle, but with the help of the Youth to the People Dream Eye Cream with Goji Stem Cell and Ceramides (left, $48), your can be safe in the knowledge that your eye area will be well cared for – and free from fine lines and wrinkles. Similarly, the Korres Greek Yoghurt Re-balancing Skin-Supplement Serum (right, $47) will help to hydrate and cool sensitive, dehydrated skin during even the coldest of months.
Peace and calm: The Knesko Green Jade Gemstone Roller ($80) is a double whammy product that cares for your spirit and your skin, helping to balance the third eye chakra, reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines, balance your chi, and boost circulation. And honestly, who doesn’t need that kind of care in this current climate?
Multitaskers: No matter what issues you might be struggling with when it comes to your eyes, you can be safe in the knowledge that the Peter Thomas Roth Hydra Gel Eye Patch Party (left, $75) will have a cure for one, if not all of them. And as far as your skin is concerned, the newly-launched Bybi Supercharge Serum (right, $34.99) is an excellent all-rounder that will brighten the skin, repair your complexion, and leave you with a healthy glow.
Popstar approved: While you await the latest Rihanna record, take comfort in her newest skincare release, the Fenty Skin by Rihanna Instant Reset Overnight Recover Gel Cream ($40), which is set to launch later this month. The ultra-hydrating overnight cream is vegan, cruelty-free, and refillable, which means a reduction in wasteful plastic packaging.
Go for gold: Sephora has just re-launched its Sephora Collection The Golden Mask ($5.50), a skin-perfecting product that will give your complexion the ultimate boost of hydration, without breaking the bank.
Grab and go: There are likely few people out there who haven’t had a pot of Vaseline stashed away in their purse at one time or another, but now that same formula has been transformed into the rather more hygienic Vaseline Lip Therapy Stick ($2.49), making it the ultimate option for anyone on the go.
Safety first! Face masks have become an essential item for most people amid the coronavirus pandemic, but unfortunately not all of them do wonderful things for your face. Hello maskne… Enter the new Tata Harper X Jonathan Simkhai Silk Mask Pack ($68), a collaboration between the much-loved beauty brand and the popular fashion label. These 100% silk masks – which are ‘ultra soft and breathable’ to protect your skin – sold out almost immediately after launch but are being brought back any day now, and are currently available for pre-order.
Luscious lips: Who doesn’t want a pillow soft pout without having to go under the needle? Well thanks to the new Bite Beauty Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss ($25), you can get the same full lips without any filler, while also nourishing your pout and giving it a luscious-looking slick of gloss. Even under a face mask, this product will leave you feeling more confident. Air kisses all round.
Lashes and lips: OK so this isn’t technically a makeup product, but the Lancôme Cils Booster Lash Revitalizing Serum (left, $49) will help to give you long, voluminous lashes that make for the perfect mascara base. We’re talking extension-style length. And while you might not be able to show off your pout as often as you might like thanks to the addition of face masks into our daily wardrobe, the Shiseido LipLiner InkDuo Prime + Line (right, $26) will make sure that your lips are ready to go whenever you get a safe opportunity to flaunt those lips.
Itsy bitsy: While palettes are a must-have for many makeup lovers, they aren’t always the most convenient for travel. Well the new Lawless The Baby One Eyeshadow Palette ($25) aims to change that, giving you a perfect selection of shades in a compact case that is perfect for any guys and gals on the go.
Something for everyone: However, if you are someone who thinks more is more, then the Lorac Pro Palette Artist Edition Meraki ($45) is a must-have. This 20-shade palette caters to every taste possible, with a marvelous mix of metallics, mattes and shimmers, all of which come complete with a beautiful buttery formula.
