The Bachelor's Jimmy Nicholson looks smitten as he is charmed by a stunning contestant

Bachelor fans are itching to watch Jimmy Nicholson’s journey to finding love. 

And Channel 10 teased a first look at the ninth season over the weekend. 

In a trailer for the network’s upcoming programming for 2021, the 31-year-old airline pilot was shown posing in front of a plane.

He looked handsome in a tuxedo and was also shown flying a small charter plane. 

The trailer then showed him welcoming a young woman on the red carpet in front of the Bachelor mansion.

The clip then cut to him in the garden as he sat in a plane passenger’s chair as a brunette – likely a flight attendant in real life – greeted him ‘on board’.

‘Welcome on board Bachelor Airways flight 2021,’ the contestant said, before Jimmy told producers: ‘I’m really happy to sign my life away then and there.’

Channel 10 officially announced Jimmy as Australia’s new Bachelor in March. 

He told The Daily Telegraph he’d signed up for the role because his career as a commercial airline pilot had made it difficult for him to find a long-term partner.

‘I was never in the same spot for too long,’ he explained, before adding: ‘I am ready to open up my heart and meet someone.

‘I hope to meet someone with similar values that I can have fun with and that shares the same zest for life as myself. The Bachelor franchise has produced many success stories and I hope to be the next.’
