The Bachelor's Brooke Cleal is forced to leave the mansion

The Bachelor’s Brooke Cleal made a dramatic exit after the tragic death of her beloved grandfather on Thursday night.  

Jimmy Nicholson became emotional as he spoke of needing to say goodbye to Brooke following her fleeing the mansion.  

In the opening scenes of the episode, Brooke was seen FaceTiming Jimmy as she told him the bad news.

‘Unfortunately, I had news from home that my grandpa had passed,’ she told the strapping pilot. 

‘We became so close in the last few years, especially when my Nan passed away,’ she added. 

Brooke explained she believed her grandfather had declined following the death of her grandmother. 

‘I still personally think my grandpa passed from a broken heart and it’s reassuring to know that they’re together now,’ she said. 

Tragic: ‘Unfortunately, I had news from home that my grandpa had passed,’ Brooke told the strapping pilot over FaceTime

Jimmy was clearly sad to see Brooke leave the mansion, lamenting he didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye to her.  

‘I completely understand that you need to be with your family now to process it all and grieve. I’m just really sorry to hear about your grandfather,’ he said. 

Jimmy went on to say he would have loved to have ‘given her a big hug’ and that he loved ‘every second he has spent with her’.   

Emotional: ‘I completely understand that you need to be with your family now to process it all and grieve. I’m just really sorry to hear about your grandfather,’ Jimmy said 

‘I can give you a big virtual hug. I’ve really, really loved every second I’ve spent with you,’ he said.  

‘Just know that I’m thinking of you and all your family and, um, yeah, I hope you’re doing ok,’ he added.
