Speaking about the campaign to Daily Mail this week, Tammin said it feels like a ‘pinch me moment’.

‘I’m so honoured to be part of the May Gibbs campaign and have loved working with the girls on this,’ Tammin said.

‘There’s such a feeling of nostalgia reading these books with my daughters, the same books I read when I was growing up. It’s honestly a pinch me moment.’

May Gibbs was a British-born Australian author known for her ‘gumnut babies’ and book series Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

May, born Cecilia May Gibbs, died in November 1969, but her works and characters are still recognised with generations today.

In an official statement, Pretty Little Liars star Tammin said she loves that she’s able to pass on some of her Australian heritage to her daughters with this collaboration and introduce them to works she grew up with.

Her and her family were based in the US for years, but have just returned to Australia where Tammin is working on a new project.

‘I’ve always adored the May Gibbs books and love reading them with my girls, introducing them to tales about the Australian bush,’ Tammin said.

‘Sharing that part of my heritage and upbringing with them is really important. So, being a part of this new campaign is very special to me personally and this new collection is just gorgeous.’

In the images, Tammin beams as she poses with her daughters with some of the May Gibbs apparel, including homewares, books and toys.

In one image, Tammin sits in a yellow T-shirt with Gibbs’ gumnut babies embellished on the front.

Tammin said she loves the new Christmas range so much she will be passing on some of the stuff down through her family for future generations.

‘They’re so well designed, you can really treasure everything and pass them down to generations – I certainly will be,’ Tammin said.

The new collection is available through leading retailers including Myer, Big W and Australia Post.
